The NHS Supplies Allied Health Professions Agency Project?
Following on from a successful initial project from August 2003, the NHS is committed to only hire locum Allied Health Profession staff (including Dietitians) through a limited number of Agencies, and has now established a new Agency framework Agreement using a few select Agencies to supply the NHS. Sonographers Medical is one of these.
Should I be State Registered?
There is mandatory State Registration for Dietitians in the United Kingdom, currently provided through the offices of the Health Professions Council (HPC). It is not possible to obtain work in Dietetics, as a Dietitian, without their certification.
Am I allowed to work in the UK?

How Much Will I Be Paid as a locum Dietitian?
Locum Dietetics Pay rates are no longer a National standard for any Agency.
A large number of hospitals have now entered agreements with us to supply staff not just at a fixed charge rate but at a fixed pay rate as well. These rates vary from hospital to hospital.
In general, Dietitian pay rates vary from £13.00 to £26.00, depending upon grade and location - but generally you should expect to earn about £19 per hour.
Do You Support Working Through A Limited Company ?
Many Dieticians choose to sub-contract through SONOGRAPHERS Medical in order to take advantage of the tax advantages of working through their own limited Company.
